Our chalet is located in the Vanoise nature park, , a wide protected area, home to a rich variety of plant and wild life. It is the largest national Park in France and lies alongside the Grand Paradis Italian national park. The two parks, which have been twinned since 1972, cover together an area of 1,250 km2, making it the most extensive protected nature park in western Europe.
